Without a doubt 2020 and 2021 have been majorly disrupted by the CoVID pandemic. Of all the industries the South African fashion industry was one of the hardest hit. In the midst of the decimation, the Fashion Forum Group (FFG) was birthed from a need to reignite and enhance a beloved and significant sector of our economy that holds within it the treasure of our identity as South Africans – our creative fashion industry.
Central to FFG’s vision of growth is to pull the various threads within our fashion ecosystem into one thereby unifying and moulding this sector to be stronger together and future-proof. What do we stand to gain:
-
- we will be better at competing into Africa and beyond = export
- SA’s fashion industry will receive local and global recognition that it deserves = command a better market share
- collaborations will be more effective as the ripple-effect reaches further and deeper
- preserve the legacy of our country and continent rich in luxury that the world is yet to consume
FFG believes this vision is only achievable through consistent change in thought and deed – and we are ready to lead the way in challenging the industry, disrupting the mundane and reshaping the future of fashion. Our creative fashion industry is SA’s best kept secret; together we will define our fashion future and unleash our formidable power!
